Shortcuts to Launch mylocalsalon at Hair Expo
Shortcuts Software announces that Sydney’s Hair Expo 2010 will see the launch of
mylocalsalon, an online directory of hair and beauty services set to revolutionise online bookings for hair and beauty services in Australia. Shortcuts is also running multiple presentations about successful online marketing, in what will be the company’s biggest show yet.
Shortcuts Software’s evolution manager, Jo Burgess, said mylocalsalon is another tool which salons and spas can use to ensure they are found when clients search for them online.
“Although the benefits of online marketing are clear, salon and spa owners are still reluctant to go online, as there is a fear around the perceived complexity and expense of doing so – particularly in setting up a website to take online bookings, and ensuring the website is found by search engines.”
“Currently online marketing offers salons and spas a competitive advantage. Google reports that over 170,000 online searches for hair and beauty services are submitted in Australia each month alone. It’s clear that those spas and salons which are online are being found and booked,” Ms Burgess said.
“We want to demonstrate the simplicity of being online and the results that leading salons and spas are achieving with their online marketing activities – the numbers are as exciting as they are staggering,” Ms Burgess said. “We invite all spa and salon owners to drop by and see at both the Shortcuts and mylocalsalon booths at Hair Expo.”
In hourly presentations on Booth 1608 and Business Updates on the 12th and 14th June, Shortcuts will further reveal the power of online marketing, with demonstrations of Shortcuts’ 24ON products including BookME, Set & Forget Marketing, TextME and more.
