Shortcuts delivers the ultimate solution for salons and spas

Shortcuts Software celebrated the general release of version 7.3 at the Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo last weekend, with a list of new features designed specifically to increase client frequency, retention and spend.

The Shortcuts Appointment Book has been enhanced with powerful new features to increase efficiency at reception, including wait list, class bookings, appointment/employee filtering and appointment logging.

• Wait list: clients can now be added to a separate list, so that when their most sought after appointment becomes available, the system prompts the receptionist to contact them.
• Class bookings: allows multiple people to be booked into a single appointment. This feature is ideal for training, fitness, yoga or pilates classes.
• Appointment/employee filtering: Managing the appointment book has never been easier, with a new filter that allows salon or spa managers to display only those appointments which need review, or filter employees by shifts, capabilities or whether they are logged on.
• Appointment logging: now all changes made to an appointment are logged. Business owners can easily see which employees are creating, rescheduling and cancelling appointments or no-shows.

“Running an efficient, accurate appointment book is critical to the success of any salon or spa,” said Rebecca Randle, CEO of Shortcuts. “This release truly aims to streamline the appointment management process and delivers a range of functionality requested by our customers.”

Other enhancements in the 7.3 release include:

• Client data improvements: duplicate client records can now be easily identified, merged and/or deleted. Shortcuts administrators are also prompted to ask their clients for important missing information (for example, email addresses) to ensure that the client database is in tip-top condition for marketing campaigns.
  
• Extended employee performance report: the Employee Performance Report now includes numerous new KPI measures, including hours worked, productivity, service, rebooking and retail only.

The new 7.3 upgrade version is now available free to all Shortcuts Surebiz customers. Surebiz is Shortcuts’ support and maintenance program which also provides 24x7 technical support and assistance. Clients who are on Surebiz will receive their upgrade shortly.
