//Tricks of the Trade
Q.
How do I schedule a lunch or a break for an employee?
A.
Tony Visessung
Helpdesk

The task option allows you to allocate time in the Appointment Book for activities that are not a service (e.g. lunch, meeting, training, etc.). A task has no monetary value and is not transferred to the Point of Sale.

To add a task to the appointment book:

1. Select the time and employee as you would for an appointment.

2. In the Select Client Screen, click to select the Schedule a Task option at the top of the client list and then click the Done button.

3. In the Choose a Task window, click to select the relevant task and then click the Done button. The task will appear on the Appointment Book (dark green color). You can adjust the size or move the task in the same way as for an appointment.

Also, you can add or edit a new task to the list in the ‘Choose a Task’ window.
