Love them or loathe them, online reviews sites are having a big impact on the salon industry. Many salon owners feel powerless when clients go online to write about them, so we decided to hit the streets to find out what provokes people to 'kiss and tell'.
What we learned was surprising - most of the time people actually would prefer to leave good feedback, with a negative reviews being seen as a last resort. The key is putting a structure in place to collect and respond to client feedback - and offering clients more options than just a face-to-face conversation.
