Problem: The receipt printer is not working, it was working yesterday, the power is on, it feeds, just prints rubbish. In the Workshop screen when hitting Test in the receipt tab it comes up with the following error message:
"Error Opening Com Port" "Error Closing Com Port". When attempting to print from Shortcuts " Error opening Com port unable to print receipt".
Solution: This sometimes happens if the communication cord is not plugged incorrectly. Shut down the computer, turn off receipt printer, and check all connections at the back of the receipt printer. Then turn the computer and receipt printer back on and try to print a receipt.
