What’s new

Shortcuts Live

Customer Card

  • You will be able to update a customer’s communication preferences as well as record their consent to your privacy policy all via their customer card

  • You will now be able to configure your Customer Card and choose which fields are mandatory for your staff to collect

  • You will now be able to delete a customer record via the more option in a customers card
  • You will now be able to send a date request to the data protection officer via a customers card and chose the method in which the customer would like to receive their data
    • On clicking data request, a sidebar will be opened asking  how the customer would like to receive their data
    • On selecting either Email, Phone or Mail, an email will be sent to data protection officer

  • You can now configure the layout of the new customer card
  • A privacy policy link will now be available in the customer card, when selected launching a pop up window displaying the business policy
  • Medical data storage acceptance can now be added into a customer’s card
  • If a guests opts into email against the receive appointment reminders field, email address shall become mandatory.
  • If a guest opts into SMS against the receive appointment reminders field, mobile phone shall become mandatory.

Configuration

The following configurations tiles have been added:

  • Data Privacy
    • A new configuration area allowing you to setup a Data protection policy and rules around how your business handles client data
    • A default privacy policy has been added into Data Protection setup
    • An email notification will be triggered to the Data Protection Officer if a guest has been deleted at a site but still exist at other sites
  • New Customer Layout
    • Giving the ability to select the fields that are mandatory/required when creating a new customer as well as the layout of the customer card

Security

  • The following Roles Permissions have been added
    • I can configure new customer layout
    • I can configure data privacy
    • I can delete customers


General (customer communication)

  • Your customers will now be able update their communication preferences via a centralized page. Customers will access this page from receiving the following communications;
    • Appointment Acknowledgements
    • Online Booking confirmation
    • Ratings and Reviews

Online Booking

  • Customer card has been modified to reflect monitory fields and communication preferences
  • Terms and conditions have been updated
  • Booking confirmation email have been enhanced to now allow users to choose their communication preferences via the unsubscribe link

mylocalsalon

  • Users will now be able to delete their profile
  • A new popup dialogue, displaying the privacy policy and acceptance fields, will now be shown to any customers that have not yet accepted the mylocalsalon Privacy Policy
  • Terms and conditions have been updated in the customer registration screen
  • Privacy Statement has been updated
  • Booking confirmation email have been enhanced to now allow users to choose their communication Preferences via the unsubscribe link.

Mobile Guest App

  • A guest can now access a business Privacy Policy via the Customer profile and accept it

Resolved issues

Shortcuts Live 

  • Appointment Book will no longer lock up when displaying a large number of clashed appointments
  • Customers birthday information within the appointment book sidebar is now displaying the correct date
  • Employee Level pricing will now be reflected in service price and duration if configured
  • Automatically send an ‘appointment acknowledgement email’ field is now displayed in the appointment set up screen
  • Performance improvements have been made to reduce the time it takes for the appointment book to load
  • Users who use “Find Duplicate Customers” feature will now be able to continue viewing and updating a customer card as normal when a duplicate customer is identified at another location
  • Customer information card has been modified to save Phone Numbers with the correct masking
  • Scroll bar has been added to the ‘tasks’ list
  • On creation, employees will be displayed at current position and not at the last position in the list
  • Appointment book touch tip ‘more’ menu options will now be displayed correctly
  • Users who have permission will now be able to access the Look and Feel setup screen
  • Multi-block appointments will now be booked in the correct order in Safari
  • Appointment book filter, employee list will now only show employees who are displayed in the appointment book
  • Sites subscribed to Appointment Book will now have the following reports displayed;
    • BookME, Booking analysis, Employee productivity, Employee performance
  • Sites subscribed to Point of Sale will now have the following reports displayed;
    • Trading summary, Product sales summary, Service sales analysis, Sales summary
  • Appointment Book responsiveness has been improved when using IE 11 or Firefox
  • Role permissions have been corrected so that users can access the Roster and Roster Activities screens
  • User accounts can now be linked successfully across multiple sites in a company
  • Performance improvements have been made to reduce screen load times and increase responsiveness
  • In the absence of a specific favorites bar set-up for a role, the icons that appear will be Menu, Customers, Appointment Book and Point of Sale

Online Reporting

  • Performance improvements have been made to the way statistics are generated

mylocalsalon

  • Users can now make a successful booking on the MyLocalSalon website
  • Improvements have been made to synchronising, displaying reviews, opening-hours and site availability metrics

Online Booking

  • Dates selector has been corrected to show today’s date on selection. The display of days/dates are now aligned in the calendar display
  • Customers are now able to make an Online Booking even if they have multiple accounts with one company
  • Emails will now be sent in the correct language

Mobile Guest App

  • ‘Link a new client’ screen has been modified to contain the following fields: Relationship, first name, last name, email address, date of birth and mobile phone
  • Guests will now be navigated back to the previous screen, when selecting the back button within the ‘Enter Verification Code’ screen
  • SMART Console users will now be able to access the mysalonapp tile without an error been displayed

Ratings and Reviews

  • Company Managers will now be able to access the Spotlight feature as expected
  • When posting a ratings review to Facebook, company logos will now be displayed correctly
